The Modu, from the Israeli company of the same name, has won the Guinness World Record for the world’s lightest mobile phone - it weighs a mere 40.1 grams.
A range of add-ons are available for the modular handset, including a camera module. It features Bluetooth connectivity, music playback and built-in 1GB memory.
The phone measures just 72.1 mm (2.8 inches) x 37.6 mm (1.4 inches) x 7.8 mm (0.3 inches). It will be available in Q4 2008, together with a range of modu jackets (stylishly designed phone enclosures) and modu mates (modu-enabled consumer electronic products).
Modu first showcased the phone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, earlier this year.
