The Nokia N75 is part of Nokia’s N-Series. It features a solid design, advanced multimedia, 2.0 megapixel camera, 3D speakers and several connectivity options. With its matte graphite exterior, it is a phone that is assured to be a hit in the mobile phone market.

The N75 weighs at around 4.32 ounces, very solid and measures at about 2.05 inches wide, 3.74 inches long and 0.80 inches thick. The first thing that could attract users will most probably be the phone’s sharp and elegant exterior combined with its built-in functions.

The handset is rather large for a clamshell phone but makes up for it with its huge 2.4-inch QVGA internal display. The 240 x 320 px display offers 16.7 million colors including an ambient light detector, which optimizes the brightness of the display and controls power consumption. Meanwhile the external screen provides convenient access to functions without having to open the phone at a crisp 128 x 160 pixels.

We go right in to the phone’s 2.0 megapixel camera. The camera functions as both a camera and a camcorder. It outputs good quality photos and has easy to use menus that allows phone users to send, print, delete, and even create a slideshow with the photos taken. The camera can support resolutions of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels, good enough to generate photos with good color balance with excellent quality.

With up to 40MB of internal memory, users will have enough space to store all of their photos and videos. But, the phone also supports microSD card which will extend the phones memory up to 2GB.

Other notable features of the phone include a flash, a self-timer and the ability to take photos in a sequence. Five scene modes are available, auto, user defined, portrait, landscape, night and night portrait.

As mentioned earlier, the phone features a large 2.4-inch QVGA internal LCD, capable of displaying a vivid 16.7 million colors at a crisp 240 x 320 px resolution. The external screen, while smaller, displays backgrounds and commonly viewed information on a 262K-color 128 x 160 px LCD.

The N75 is also a music phone. It allows users to listen to their favorite songs through three multi-function keys on the face of the N75. It’s two 3D speakers complete the package and lets users hear their multimedia collections. In addition, an integrated FM radio allows consumers on the road to tunes to stations automatically with up to 20 presets.

The phone’s built-in mp3 player along with its equalizer, play list, shuffle and repeat features, allows users to play music with formats such as MP3, MIDI, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA.

Standard feature on today’s phone include video and picture messaging. The N75 also has these functions. Its large numeric keypad makes text messaging simple, however the smooth surface and minimal separation in between could make it difficult for users who text by touch.

The Nokia N75 is an attractive phone. Its features are decent enough to attract users. The matte graphite finish of the exterior is different, but pleasantly unique. Blue-lit buttons are a modern, well-coordinated touch, and the controls outside and inside the phone are intuitive and easy to use.
