RIM's iPhone rival launching in Q3?
If rumours are correct, Research In Motion Ltd (RIM), is preparing to launch a touch screen BlackBerry to rival Apple’s iPhone.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the device, known as the Thunder, could be launched as early as the third quarter.

It is understood that the Thunder will be available on Vodafone’s network, or through Verizon Wireless in the US.

A touch-screen phone would be popular with consumers, and would be in line with RIM’s recent moves to diversify from its core business market.

RIM hasn’t commented on the speculation.
