At the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas Samsung unveiled three new models in its Ultra range: the F300, F500 and i600.
Each phone has a specialist focus. The F300 is labelled ‘Ultra Music’, the F500 ‘Ultra Video’ and the i600 ‘Ultra Messaging’.
One side of the F300’s face is dedicated to phone controls, the other to music ones. It has a 2 megapixel camera, 100MB internal memory and a microSC card, and EDGE technology for fast downloading.
The F500 is a 3G enabled handset with a 2 megapixel camera, 400 MB of internal memory and a microSD card which can receive digital TV transmissions using DVB-H standard. Its swivel design allows it to rest on a flat surface like a miniature TV.
The i600 has a full QWERTY keyboard, supports Windows Mobile version 5 and has built in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. It includes expandable memory and a 1.3 megapixel camera.
All three handsets are due imminently in the United States, but are not expected to be available in the UK until autumn 2007.
