Samsung Ace SPH-i325 PDA Phone

Once you take a good look at the Samsung Ace SPH-i325 PDA Phone, you will definitely love it. The fact that it looks a lot like the Samsung BlackJack II isn’t even the reason why. Yes, it some of its features are the same, and its looks are similar, but the Ace has something that makes it even better than the Blackjack. The phone sports a sleek, slightly square black body with a full QWERTY keyboard, but unlike the Blackjack, the Ace supports Sprint’s CDMA network.
As far as its design is concerned, the Ace is a light but solid and sturdy phone. It weighs even less at 3.9 ounces and is very portable. It measures at around 2.3 by 4.7 by 0.5 inches and fits nicely in your hands or in your pockets. The 2.3-inch, 320-by-240-pixel LCD screen looks clean when showing pictures or video; with its very small font size, however, the Ace provides less-than-easy reading when you’re looking at news or other websites.
The Samsung Ace has a QWERTY keyboard that is both usable and convenient. The keys had a crisp, punchy feel that made text messaging fast and comfortable.
Of course, as a PDA phone, the Ace includes some very handy office applications and business features. You can sync it with Microsoft Outlook for your emails. You can transfer your contacts, appointments and scheduling calendar in a snap.
The phone supports both domestic CDMA networks and overseas GSM networks, which is a plus for business travelers always on the go, even if they go abroad. The sound quality for outbound calling is only mediocre and the Ace’s battery lasted 4 hours, 44 minutes.
The 1.3-megapixel camera captured decent snapshots, but the shutter speed was a little slow. But this is similar as with most camera phones. The Internet connectivity is zippy, and the oversize Web search bar is a nice touch when you’re dealing with the small font size. Among the other included features are stereo Bluetooth, a memory card slot, and Windows Media Player 10 Mobile with support for Windows Media music sync.
