Research In Motion (RIM)has launched its latest Blackberry smartphone, the Bold, which is the first BlackBerry to support HSDPA.

The device is powered with a next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor, and with Wi-Fi support and 128MB Flash memory provides fast Web access for streaming video, email, downloading Word, Excel or Powerpoint files or simply browsing.

Users can even carry on with these activities while talking on the phone.

The stylish phone features a lustrous black finish, satin plated frame and leather-look back.

As you would expect, it has a full-QWERTY keyboard, and claims to have the most vivid display ever featured on a BlackBerry smartphone.

This is achieved by fusing a colour LCD to the undersurface of the lens, providing extra clarity.

The device also has a media player for audio and movies, and a 2 megapixel camera for video and still phones, with built-in flash and 5x digital zoom.

The BlackBerry Bold smartphone should be available worldwide this summer.
