TechFaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited has launched Twins - the world’s first WCDMA/GSM dual mode phone.
Twins is designed with international travellers in mind. It will accept one WCDMA card and one GSM card. Users can also load dual GSM SIM cards.
The phone is also ideal for people who require a business and a personal number in one cell phone.
Twins features a 2.0 megapixel camera, MP3 and MPEG4 player, WCDMA modem, video calling capability and dual Bluetooth.
TechFaith has secured contracts from Europe and South East Asia for the device, with distribution scheduled to commence in November.
TechFaith, which is based in China, is an original design manufacturer of cell phone solutions.
