Sony Ericsson has announced two new phones with a design inspired by the natural world and the Nordic lights.
The Sony Ericsson T650 has a stainless steel finish, scratch-proof mineral glass and illumination effects on the keypad and side of the phone which interact with animations on the 1.9-inch screen.
The 12.5 millimetre slim phone combines a beautiful design with high-performance features including 3G connectivity, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and media player.
The latest Bluetooth technology allows music to be streamed directly the phone to a headset.
The T650 comes in Growing Green and Midnight Blue – and will be a Dual mode UMTS 2100 -GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 phone.
It will be available in selected markets from Q3 2007.
Sony’s other new release, the S500 slider phone, features desktop and menu themes and external light effects which can be set to change over time. It comes with either a Mysterious Green or Spring Yellow exterior.
The slider opens to reveal a 2.0 megapixel camera which can be instantly sent to a blog. Pictures or video can also be sent to any mobile phone or email address.
The S500 also features a media player and expandable Memory Stick slot. With the addition of Music Bluetooth Receiver MBR-100 music from the phone can be played directly through a home stereo.
The Sony Ericsson S500 is a 14mm slim 2.5G slider phone (GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900) and will be available in selected markets from Q2 2007.
