Harmonic Inc is demonstrating a new solution for delivering video content over the internet to mobile devices such as the Nokia N95 phone, and other devices such as TVs and PCs, at IBC 2008 in Amsterdam
Harmonic will demonstrate how its solution can encode mobile video and stream it in H.264 baseline format over a WiFi network to a Nokia N95 handset.
Harmonic’s solutions for Internet TV and mobile video delivery can be integrated with set-top boxes and mobile devices to provide operators with a cost-effective and scalable architecture for multi-screen video delivery.
Harmonic believes that this is becoming a key technology for video service providers, which can help them stay competitive.
The solutions feature DiviCom® encoders, MediaPrism™ content preparation suite, Rhozet™ universal transcoding, ProStream™ stream processing and transcoding, StreamLiner® 2000 for real-time streaming and progressive download delivery, and NMX Digital Service Manager™.
