iPhone expected in UK in time for Christmas

If current rumours are correct, Apple’s iPhone should hit the UK shops in time for Christmas.

Pricing, launch date, and pre-order details for the 8GB iPhone appeared on Amazon.co.uk today.

The site listed the price at £329 and gave 1 December as the UK launch date for the long-awaited device.

The ad appeared only briefly and was quickly replaced with a version that omitted pricing details and release date. Neither version gave any details of which network the handset will be available on.

It isn’t clear if the details were official or whether they were just estimates.
