Scalado Demonstrates CAPS Imaging Technology

Scalado AB, an imaging software development company, is demonstrating its new CAPS imaging technology at the 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona from 12-18 February.

CAPS, a patented imaging software engine for camera phones, will be integrated into a number of next-generation camera phone platforms in 2007.

Together with multi mega-pixel cameraphones, CAPS software will enable users to take digital camera quality pictures with their camera phone.

The company will showcase the Scalado AutoRama™ feature of CAPS at the show, which enables multi-megapixel panorama effects and also Scalado SpeedView™ which allows real-time browsing, zooming and panning of images.

CAPS imaging technology includes various patented image management techniques including RAJPEG, a JPEG codec technology which reduces the amount of RAM memory required by a factor of 25x while still processing full resolution mega pixel images.

RAPJEG increases performance and the speed for image manipulation by a factor of up to 10x.

Scalado has its head office in IDEON Research Park in Lund, Sweden.
