RIM has updated its BlackBerry Pearl 8120 handset. The device now has Wi-Fi capability for faster web-browsing and users will be able to make VoIP calls over Wi-Fi.
The Pearl’s browser has been enhanced to display an entire web page on the screen, and users can click on an area of the page and zoom in, to make reading easier.
The user-interface has also been updated with the same design as the newer Blackberry Curve.
Predictive texting should be easier with the updated model, as it now features the ability to learn from the user’s typing style.
The Pearl 8120, which is the smallest of the Blackberry smartphones, has also been given a higher-resolution camera.
However there is still no support for 3G and no built in GPS, a feature of many of the larger BlackBerry models.
The BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is available now, through O2.
