E-TEN launches X500+ PC phone

E-TEN Information Systems has introduced the X500+ high-resolution (VGA) Pocket PC Phone with Windows Mobile 6.
The phone’s VGA display provides up to four times the resolution of E-TEN’s previous offerings, providing sharper and more detailed images on the larger screen-area.
The ultra-thin smartphone also features an Auto-Macro camera for photographs and home-video and provides entertainment, communications and productivity on the move for both consumers and business professionals.
Unlike E-TEN’s earlier X800 model, the X500+ does not include 3.5G connectivity, but its Windows Mobile 6 Professional platform provides the latest mobile applications for business and leisure, including updated Mobile Office applications.
E-TEN’s Namecard Manager software comes preloaded on the device, to simplify the process of updating contacts. Namecard Manager lets users photograph a business card with the phone’s camera, and then uses OCR technology to identify and extract contact information, which can be easily added to the device’s contact’s list.
The X500+ measures just 113.5 x 60.5 x 15.5 mm and is available in silver and black.
