UK Launch of LG Shine Announced

LG Electronics has announced the UK launch of LG Shine KE970, the latest handset in its Black Label series of mobile phones.

The device is a full-metal bodied slider phone with a polished chrome effect finish. A perfectly reflective 2.2″ screen disappears when the phone is activated.

When the slider is opened a ‘magic mirror’ full colour screen is revealed. The menu is accessed via an easy-to-use multi-function scroll key.

The high-spec phone features an auto focus camera by Schneider Kreuznach and an expandable memory (MicroSD card). It also includes a media player with multi-codec support (MP3, WAV and ACC++) and real spectrum display.

The phone supports GPRS and uses EDGE networks for Web browsing and data transmission. It has Bluetooth and USB connectivity.

Shine has been available in Korea since November 2006 and over 3,500 units a day are still being sold there. The phone will be launched in the UK by illusionist David Blaine and will be available free with a contract agreement.
