LG has partnered with communications provider Verizon to launch a new LG Chocolate phone in the US.
The new LG VX8550 phone is an update to the LG VX8500 Chocolate which was released in 2006.
The new version is a little slimmer and sleeker than its older sibling. It has also gained a new navigation wheel with a trace motion light.
The touch keypad has been updated with a vibrating haptic feedback when touched.
The device features a microSD card slot, music player with support for MP3 and WMA formats, 1.3-megapixel camera, EV-DO support for V Cast Music, stereo Bluetooth support and a wireless Web browser.
The LG VX8550 is available in black, black cherry, and blue mint and should be in Verizon stores in the US on July 9.
The prices has not yet been revealed, nor the date of a UK launch.
