LG Smartphone features ClearPad touch screen

The LG Prada, an upcoming smartphone, is the first phone to use ClearPad technology from Synaptics. ClearPad is an optically clear display solution for creating a fully adaptive user interface.
The ClearPad touch screen replaces traditional mechanical keys. It adapts to present information and controls a user needs at any given moment.
ClearPad technology provides a more intelligent display than can be provided through a conventional touch screen.
It is able to recognise points, taps, shapes, complex gestures, and proximity to the user’s finger or cheek.
This allows more complex functions to be assigned to signals such as two-finger taps, or swiping the screen. It means that a phone can be answered just by holding it close to the cheek.
The LG Prada smartphone measures only 98.8 x 54 x 12 millimeters and weighs a mere 85 grams. Its 240 x 400-pixel resolution touch screen measures 3 inches and supports 256K colors
The GSM smartphone supports 3.5G HSPDA cellular-wireless networking and features a FM radio, TV out, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD slot and a 2 megapixel camera for picture and video.
