Sony Ericsson and GestureTek in games phone deal
Sony Ericsson has entered into a deal with motion sensing technology company, GestureTek, which could bring a new generation of motion sensitive games to Sony Ericsson handsets.

GestureTek’s software could be integrated into Sony Ericsson phones as early as September, positioning the handset manufacturer as a gaming brand.

The software will use the phone’s camera to sense movement, allowing characters in a game to be controlled by tilting the phone.

Similar technology is already used in high-end phones such as Apple iPhone, in games such as Super Monkey Ball.
