HTC - new distributor for new phones
HTC, which designs and manufactures feature-rich smartphones and PDAs, has appointed Brightpoint Europe as its exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland, replacing its previous distributor, Portix.

The new precedes HTC’s expected announcement of a number of new phones on 6 May.

The announcement is expected to include the HTC Dream Android - the first device with Google’s new Android operating system. The device is expected to resemble the iPhone, with a full touch screen interface.

Other new phones will include the HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Raphael, HTC Titanium and HTC Touch Find.

Some of the new phones are likely to feature HTC’s latest user interface, Manila, which customises the Windows Mobile interface.
